How to edit JVC AVCHD Clips on FCP X?

If AVCHD Can be imported to FCP X for more editing? Now, FCP is more popular. In June, the revolutionary editing tool-Final Cut Pro X was available on Mac App Store for just $299. But when I try to convert mts files to fcp, it's impossible. What should I do?
