"Has anyone tried the new AVCCAM Importer from Panasonic with Final Cut Pro X and a Panasonic HDC-TM900 with 1080p video? I have just started reading all of the posts on issues with TM900 and Final Cut Pro X with 1080p video and was hoping the new plugin from Panasonic may have helped! My concern is the download only references Final Cut Pro and QuickTime 7.I have a 2011 MacBook Pro which has QuickTime 10 and was hoping to buy FCPX but won't if I can't import my video properly. I was even willing to go through a conversion process but in looking at all of the board posts, it seems that for the Panasonic TM900 with 1080p video, there are not any programs that will convert properly, i.e. one puts a green screen every second or there is video artifacts.
If the new plug-in-in "AVCCAM Importer" does not help with the TM900 / 1080p video in FCPX, what alternatives do I have to edit HD 1080p video on my Mac?" from discussions apple
Panasonic HDC models recording high definition 1080p, 1080i AVCHD or iFrame H.264 format and is good recording resource to import to FCP, FCPX for best editing then play on on a PS3 or Western Digital TV Live Hub. These modes like

Panasonic HDC-TM700, Panasonic HDC-TM90, Panasonic HDC-TM900,Panasonic HDC-TM900 EG, Panasonic HDC-HS900
Recording MPEG

They can't be smoothly imported to FCP(X) for "FCPX does not support footage recorded in 1080-60p from this Camcorder; FCPX does not support footage recorded in 1080-50p from this Camcorder", here we understand that a converter is necessary to bring the AVCHD files to FCP, FCPX for fluent editing, then Panasonic AVCHD Converter for Mac is the best choice for you, it is the professional Panasonic AVCHD, iFrame H.264 to FCPX Converter for Mac 10.5, Mac Snow Leopard and Mac Lion.
